Our analysis
Wingstop by the numbers
Wingstop publishes prices and nutrition, but not in a form that answers “which is the better buy?” We did the arithmetic.
How we did this
Every figure below is calculated from two sources: Wingstop's April 2025 nutrition guide, and the base-menu prices we captured on 2026-09-21 from one Texas carryout store. We divided, sorted and averaged; we did not estimate anything. The conclusions are ours, the inputs are Wingstop's. Prices differ by restaurant, so use the ratios more than the dollar amounts.
Price per wing falls as the order grows
Ordering by the piece, a bigger count lowers the price of each wing. The smallest order (10 wings) costs $13.99 ($1.40 each) for classic and $11.59 ($1.16 each) for boneless; the largest (100) costs $124.99 ($1.25 each) classic and $102.09 ($1.02 each) boneless.
| Wings | Classic | Boneless |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | $13.99 ($1.40 each) | $11.59 ($1.16 each) |
| 15 | $20.49 ($1.37 each) | $16.89 ($1.13 each) |
| 20 | $26.99 ($1.35 each) | $22.29 ($1.11 each) |
| 30 | $39.79 ($1.33 each) | $32.49 ($1.08 each) |
| 50 | $64.99 ($1.30 each) | $53.09 ($1.06 each) |
| 75 | $95.49 ($1.27 each) | $78.09 ($1.04 each) |
| 100 | $124.99 ($1.25 each) | $102.09 ($1.02 each) |
Protein per 100 calories: classic vs boneless
Averaged across all 13 core flavors, a classic wing is 104 calories with 10 g of protein, which works out to about 9.6 g of protein per 100 calories. A boneless piece averages 95 calories with 4 to 5 g of protein, about 4.4 g per 100 calories. If protein matters more than price, classic is the better buy; boneless is cheaper per piece but has less protein for its calories because of the breading.
Which flavor is lightest, and which is heaviest?
Calories per classic wing run from 90 to 120. The lightest are Plain, Atomic, Original Hot, Cajun; the heaviest are Garlic Parmesan, Hot Honey Rub, Mild, Lemon Pepper.
Sodium spreads much more widely than calories: Plain has 30 mg per wing while Cajun has 310 mg, roughly 10 times as much. If you watch sodium, the flavor you choose matters more than the size of the order.
| Flavor | Calories | Sodium | Carbs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plain | 90 | 30 mg | 0 g |
| Atomic | 90 | 220 mg | 1 g |
| Original Hot | 90 | 230 mg | 0 g |
| Cajun | 90 | 310 mg | 0 g |
| Mango Habanero | 100 | 80 mg | 4 g |
| Hawaiian | 100 | 85 mg | 3 g |
| Spicy Korean Q | 100 | 135 mg | 3 g |
| Hickory Smoked BBQ | 100 | 150 mg | 4 g |
| Louisiana Rub | 110 | 140 mg | 0 g |
| Garlic Parmesan | 120 | 75 mg | 1 g |
| Hot Honey Rub | 120 | 160 mg | 2 g |
| Mild | 120 | 160 mg | 0 g |
| Lemon Pepper | 120 | 210 mg | 0 g |
How to use it
- Find your order size in the price table. The figure in brackets is the price per wing.
- Compare classic and boneless in the same row.
- If protein matters, use the protein-per-100-calories figures, not the price.
- Look up your flavor in the calorie and sodium table. Use the ratios more than the exact dollars, since stores set their own prices.
Worked examples
10, 30 or 100 classic wings
On the base menu, 10 classic wings are $1.40 each, 30 are $1.33 and 100 are $1.25. Going from 10 to 100 cuts the price per wing by 11%, but only if you'll actually eat 100.
30 classic wings, Phoenix vs Seattle
In our October 14, 2026 store survey, 30 classic wings cost $36.59 in Phoenix and $44.79 in Seattle, or $1.22 and $1.49 a wing. That's $8.20 more for the same order, or 22% higher, so where you buy matters as well as how much you buy.
Lightest vs heaviest flavor, 10 wings
Ten classic Plain wings are 900 calories; ten Lemon Pepper are 1200. That's 300 calories apart from the flavor choice alone.
What this means for your order
- For the lowest price per wing, order the biggest count you will realistically finish, then check the wing calculator for packs.
- For protein, order classic. For a lower per-piece cost and a lighter bite, order boneless.
- To cut sodium, choose by flavor first. See the full nutrition tables and the calorie guide.
